Who is helping mom and dad?

Our Mission is to protect the consumer by developing a highly qualified network of experts who meet minimum standards of education and ethics, The network provides a coordinated care approach to support senior adults and their families through Late Life Transitions, including changes to home and care environments.

The SENIOR TRANSITION COUNCIL was originally founded in 2004. The Council supports high standards for senior service providers, and promotes minimum standards for education, ethics and quality of service across a variety of related fields.

The Council supports ALLIANCE organizations who establish  minimum educational and ethical standards to help providers better serve seniors and families through  coordinated services.

The ALLIANCE defines Senior Transition as:

"Late life changes to home and care environments, where the transition is often complicated by  symptoms of  grief, loss, relocation stress or transition trauma; and where issues such as health, personal property management, dementia, hoarding and complex family dynamics define the types of support required for a successful transition".

The SENIOR TRANSITION ALLIANCE is dedicated to helping adults and families experience successful Late Life Transitions™ through coordinated services and a standardized approach to home transition.
